With the Geico 500 getting underway at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend, there isn’t a better time to look back on some great Talladega moments throughout the years.

Specifically, to the NASCAR Cup Series Aaron’s 499 spring race at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama.
There was a controversial, hairline finish between Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. because the race ended with a caution flag in the final lap as Jeff was barely half a car length ahead of Jr.
